Writing
Websites
- Wrex Writes: A writing blog, but especially helpful for discussions and suggestions about overcoming obstacles to writing and freeing yourself to be creative again.
- Jim Butcher on writing: Some useful blog posts about the author's writing process, archived by Karen Woodward
- Miss Snark (archived): Anonymous blog of a literary agent. Some really useful writing advice from that perspective, especially the Crapometer feature, in which writers could send in synopses/hooks or first pages and get her feedback. Can be a bit difficult to navigate the archived versions, but try these for starting points (and then use the links under Blog Archive in the sidebar to navigate to older entries): hooks, first pages
